Imports Position

The role

The key responsibility for the Imports position is to ensure the safe and efficient importation of our wines from our UK and European suppliers. Acting as the main BI liaison between our suppliers and transporters and freight agents, the role entails overseeing collections and landing products in our bonded warehouse, ensuring paperwork is processed accurately and all queries, internal and external, are answered promptly and efficiently.

The Person

It is preferred that the candidate can speak fluent French, although this is not absolutely essential; they will have spent time working in a busy import department in a small to medium sized company.

Experience within the Wine Industry is an essential:

  • Have worked in managing Imports in a wine company and understand how to receive goods into a bonded warehouse
  • Efficient under pressure, able to remain calm and work accurately to deadline
  • Self-motivated and can be relied upon without the need for constant supervision
  • Computer literate
  • A clear communicator with the interpersonal skills to build strong internal and external relationships
