No EP Releases Today

Last week all was very quiet on the En Primeur front in the UK with the vast majority of the Bordelais transported to Hong Kong for the Vinexpo global wine fair. This, in conjunction with all the festivities which surrounded it, swallowed up much of the wine trade for the entire week so there were no major releases.

For those expecting to check in today and find a raft of new 2015s on our latest releases list, I’m afraid you’ll have a further wait on your hands for La Place de Bordeaux once again grinds to a halt to welcome President Hollande and his entourage for the official opening of La Cité du Vin – the new interactive wine museum and attraction located on the banks of the Garonne.

We expect the ball to start rolling again tomorrow (Wednesday June 1st) and, fingers crossed, the courtiers and negociants will do their job and stagger the many remaining releases in a sensible fashion over the coming few weeks – giving everyone a chance to say their piece. However, if wines are released at pace, do forgive us for the raft of offers you will receive throughout June. We will continue to focus on the wines we really believe in but trust us when we say there are so many good ones still to come!
