The brilliant Figeac 2018 has been released today at GBP 2172The scores and notes below say it all, really; every top critic lands in the upper-90s and there is potential for a couple of magical 3-digit scores. In fact we think it very likely that once in bottle, when the structure has had a chance to settle in and the sheer focus and intensity of the fruit has softened slightly, some of these 99s will become 100s. It’s a magnificent wine: big, bold, complex, energetic, savoury, ripe… all while being so weightless, the sign of perfect fruit and a very deft touch in the winery.

Petit Figeac was also released today at GBP 456

This was closely followed by 'another magical wine' (JD) from La Conseillante at GBP 2016. Jeb Dunnuck touches the full 100 in his spread, calling it “another magical wine from this estate” and leading US critic Jeff Leve suggests it “could top the 2016!”

One of the last releases of the campaign is one of the greatest wines not only of the vintage, but ever produced at this estate – and which will go on to be a Bordeaux legend. The 2018 Cheval Blanc is a game-changer and it is now available at GBP 6588.

Le Petit Cheval which, according to Jeb Dunnock, is 'In the running for the top second wine of the vintage' was released at GBP 1800.
