Lafleur

Background

Lafleur is a true Pomerol icon and is capable of rivalling, if not surpassing, its more famous neighbour, Petrus. Parker describes Lafleur as one of "Bordeaux's most prodigious wines" but, with only 1,000 cases a year made, it is not easy to find en primeur, or when mature! Full cases and large formats are particularly rare, and extremely sought after.

Lafleur is a powerful wine, and requires a good 15 years of aging to show at its best – although vintages from the '50s & '60s are still drinking well, and the legendary 1982 is still an infant.
