Dominique Lafon, like Anne-Claude Leflaive, pioneered the philosophy of natural, biodynamic wine making in the early 1990s and, today, he has a reputation for being one of the top white wine makers in Burgundy.
Comte Lafon has been bottling its own wines since 1961 and Dominique has been managing the family estate of almost 14 hectares since 1984. His domaine is based in Meursault but also produces red wines from his vineyards in Volnay and more white wine, Les Heritiers de Comte Lafon, from their domaine in the Macon region, some 100 kilometres south of Beaune.
