Lignier Michelot

Background

For many years this estate was content to grow grapes for sale to large negociant houses in Burgundy. In 1992, Virgile – the fourth generation of his family to run this estate – changed direction by vinifying and bottling wines under their own label. Having been in sole charge since 2000, Virgile’s wines have gone from strength to strength: we believe that his 2011s may even be better than his wonderful 2010s.
