One of the great producers in Chablis; Francois Raveneau and his son Jean Marie have built a reputation for making outstanding wines. Low yields from their 17 acres of Premier Cru (Montee de Tonnerres, les Vaillons, Butteaux, Chapelot) and Grand Cru (Les Clos, Valmur, Blanchot) vineyards combined with their meticulous approach in the winery has consistently resulted in wonderful wines over the years.
Francois and Jean-Marie use no new oak in their wines; instead they age them for up to 18 months in old oak feuillates after fermentation in stainless steel. The result of their unique approach is wines of incredible depth that are capable of ageing up to twenty years.
