Tasting Notes and Scores
The 1985 admirably reflects the character of this charming vintage. Deep ruby, low in acidity, ripe, round, fruity, and precocious, this medium-bodied, supple wine is very tasty and displays the cedary, black currant fruit so common in the wines of St.-Julien. Anticipated maturity: Now-2000. Last tasted, 3/90.
Stylish, with vanilla, spice and cherry aromas and flavors, very silky texture and a long vanilla finish. Drinkable now.--The Bordeaux 50. (James Suckling)
