Tasting Notes and Scores
The 1989 is terrific. Purple-colored, with a huge nose of cassis, licorice, and smoky oak, this fleshy, huge wine is loaded with fruit, glycerin, and tannin. It should drink beautifully for 10-12 years.
A gorgeous, seductive wine now, and should improve with age. Aromas of roses, berries and cherries. Full-bodied, round in texture, with lots of tobacco, cherry and vanilla flavors. Long, caressing finish.--1989 Bordeaux horizontal. James Suckling
