Echo de Lynch Bages 2009
Tasting Notes and Scores
This has a more open nose with black fruits, raspberry leaf, cold tea and just a faint touch of oyster shell. The Cabernet dominates the palate (72% of the blend) with blackberry, bilberry and a touch of cherry towards the pointed finish. Not bad, but I hope it fleshes out during its elevage. Tasted March 2010.
[72CS/17/11] Dense, closed, freshly ripe blackcurrant and mineral nose; very nicely balanced, very cabernet wine; a fine concentration of pure, crisp blackcurrant fruit, within a moderate, firm, dry tannin; crisply fruity, mineral tinged and with very nice fruit persistence. Quite a 'serious' Echo. Appetising but firm, will need 3-5 years. 2013- 23
