Le Moine, Lucien - Mazis Chambertin 2002
Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2002 Mazis-Chambertin, which ended its malolactic fermentation in late November, reveals herb-laced blackberries, oak, and cassis in its aromatics. Fresh, concentrated, and powerful, its medium to full-bodied character boasts powerful layers of blackberries, licorice, cassis, earth, and chocolate. Its extensive, immensely impressive finish exhibits loads of exquisitely ripened tannin. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2020.
