Domaine Boingneres 1986
Tasting Notes and Scores
This 1986 is an extremely rare example of vintage Armagnac distilled entirely from notoriously tricky Folle Blanche grapes. Despite being utterly seductive in character the Folle Blanche grape is too difficult for most growers to even attempt. It tends to produce a feminine, aromatic brandy, but Martine Lafitte distils in a very small still resulting in a bigger, richer more complex spirit.
Extraordinary notes of creme brulee, burnt sugar and clove on the nose, with Christmas cake and sweet spice and good grip.
Bottled at cask strength of 49% ABV.
