Tasting Notes and Scores
This blend of 47% Semillon and the rest Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris offers up lush pineapple and heady melon notes with plenty of good acidity and subtle smokiness. It's a beauty. Drink now-2020. Drink: 2013 - 2020

Tasted at Chateau Mouton Rothschild. With a high percentage of Semillon (47%), the Aile d’Argent 2010 has a nicely composed bouquet of grapefruit, walnut and lime flower that is more delicate compared to recent vintages. The palate is well balanced with pralines and a hint of white chocolate on the entry. It has a fine thread of acidity, although I would have liked a little more complexity towards the finish. Still, this is very fine. Tasted November 2012.
A blend of 60% Sauvignon Blanc and 40% Semillon, the Aile d'Argent is a little reticent on the nose at first but it opens nicely to reveal scents of grapefruit, dried pineapple and a touch of honeydew melon. The palate is well balanced with a rounded, leesy entry, good acidity, the Semillon dominated the lemon curd tinged finish. Good length. Very fine. Drink 2012-2016. Tasted March 2011.
A dense white with honey, cream and sliced pineapples. Full body with bright acidity and a clean finish. Structured and intense. More Sauvignon Blanc in the blend gives it better freshness. Drink now or hold.
