Moreau, Christian - Chablis Blanchot 2007
Tasting Notes and Scores
All of Moreau’s 2007 Chablis Blanchots was matured in three used barriques, to whose employment overtones of lanolin, resin, and coconut milk testify. These mingle with toasted almond, peach, and peach kernel on the palate, but also with a somewhat detached lemony acidity. High-toned kirsch- and marzipan-like notes suggestive of sweetness shadow this from nose to tail. I hope this will felicitously gain harmony or at least a clearer definition with time, as there is a wealth of implicitly fascinating material.
